Much of the pundit class is focused on the potential political impact Trump’s cheating would have had on the election. Let’s look a another angle: Can Trump afford a divorce with Melania? Based on the shoddy way Cohen prepared the NDA agreement with Stormy is very possible Trump’s agreement with Melania may not be “Ironclad”, and even with a well crafted prenup it very unlikely it would survive Trumps alleged antics. Having repeated unprotected sex with porn stars and nude models put Melania in both physical and psychological risk. The very act of winning the presidency also give Melania a reason to renegotiate any prenuptial. Her role as first lady will saddle her with additional security and living expenses should she get divorced. Courts have regularly ruled against prenuptial agreements that are lopsided, so if there’s any language in it about Melania’s conduct (likely control freak Trump would insist Melania get nothing if she cheated on him) then his conduct would likely nullify the prenup. The act of having a child also adds complexity to prenup that is not well drafted.
It’s my belief Trump never thought he’d win so the political damage was an afterthought to covering up the Stormy affair. What he could not afford was divorce that cost him ½ his fortune.
Some key questions.
1) What is the exact language of the prenup?
2) Was it updated after election win?
3) Was Trump honest in his disclosures at each step of initiation and updating?
4) Was Melania under duress to sign any updates?
5) Did anyone on the Trump camp with Russian ties know of Stormy or his prenup details?
6) Did any of that info find it way to the Kremlin?
Trump was always a fake Billionaire he was probably worth somewhere under 800 Million prior to the election (Who knows what the graft and corruption he and his family have been up to in office has garnered), but it’s possible Putin had $400 Million in Kompromat hanging over trump thanks to Stormy.
